Chip and I opened the next day to a packed house! We were so busy, that we ran out of food, and realized that we were far too busy to do it all ourselves. What a great community! What an amazing opening day!
After slinging as much BBQ as two people possibly could on that first day, we called on friends and family to help work the restaurant for a few weeks until we could hire some help. So much for my part time job at the mall! It has been with the support of our family, friends, devout customers and community that we have been able to build and grow J.D.’s BBQ into the BBQ joint you know today. And the rest as they say, is History.
